Why our Aerial Yoga Hammocks?
This is the same soft, silky, and incredibly durable fabric as used in the Cirque du Soleil. Beware of other products made of stiff, cheap, thin, or scratchy parachute fabric, and always choose nylon tricot over polyester as it is the stronger, less slippery and safer option. Our yoga hammock fabric is lightweight and breathable, but very strong - it holds up to 400 pounds! It has a low-medium level of stretch so you feel cocooned yet secure.

How many hammocks can I fit in my space?
Typically hammocks require an 8-10ft radius to avoid collisions. Space (10ft+) is most important to the front and back of the hammocks as that is the swinging direction. We recommend staggering the hammocks for maximum space usage.
How do I hang them for my ceiling?
Always consult with a licensed professional rigger or engineer to assess your studio and install the hammocks. A professional rigger can be found at local live theaters, construction companies, etc. Since there are many different types of overhead environments, Aerial Yoga Gear does not provide instructions on how to rig hammock. You may require span sets or additional equipment depending on your ceiling type. Aerial Yoga Gear cannot be responsible for improper or irresponsible rigging; please protect your students and ensure they are safe!
Will I need additional daisy chains for my ceiling height?
When assembled, the hammocks are fully height adjustable. Without any extra length, they can be hung easily in spaces 8-12 ft tall, and if your ceilings are taller (or you just want extra length) you can use additional rigging equipment or daisy chains. Fully assembled at maximum height, the hammock with rigging equipment included hangs about 10.5 ft long.
You may want to consider these factors: how low do you need the fabric to come to the ground, what other equipment you are using to rig, and what knots you prefer. The fabric can hang as long as 7 ft when knotted, the daisy chains provide an additional 3.5 ft, and the carabiners provide an extra 3-4 inches.
